Content Warning: This essay examines the Scientific Racism of the cultivated, cultured British, Western European and American Elites of whom few found any difficulties via their highly influential Geographical - Anthropological Societies in furthering the invention of myriad, creative narratives to justify the actions of the servants of their noble selves killing off largely defenseless or largely outgunned native communities in far off lands, for the purpose of possession and profit. The highly regarded American intellectual Ralph Waldo Emerson seemed to cleave to views consistent with Scientific Racism as many contemporaries did, in his expressed view on African slaves. A man of his times.

President Zelenskyy is not clever and is interfering, the reason The Russian Armed Forces have not killed him.

The evidence in the things not seen, in accordance with the helpful guidance perhaps from St. Paul the Apostle, of that very long-in-the-planning Plan and Washington - London Grand Geo-Political Positioning with its origins stretching back to the nineteen nineties, to take down the State of Russia but not so directly via a major defeat on the fields of battle but in their Strategic and Tactical Stoichiometry via, for them, a distant Proxy War of Attrition to eliminate one or more Russian Armed Forces' soldiers for every one of NATO’s highly trained Armed Forces of The Ukraine (AFU) soldier, say, one million killed on both sides and sufficient for an outraged Russian public to tear down The West's Russian Nemesis and allow The Cultivated Forces of Western Goodness to illuminate the Russian Barbarian State with a warm front of Sunbeams, but no, for after some one million dead AFU soldiers including now pressed-into-service teenagers and retired men, women also and with possibly twice that injured, many irreversibly and with far fewer casualties within the Russian Armed Forces (possibly one tenth), the evidence of this bankrupt Long Fix is in the near complete disappearance from the Western Mainstream Media coverage of yet another Washington - London failed campaign that shall attract the interest of earnest historians to write weighty tomes of this large defeat, as precisely predicted in the Substack essay of September, 2022 last and elsewhere and so in the briefest of terms shall the Churchillian President Zelenskyy be consigned to The Graveyard of Erstwhile Washington - London Allies, that trip taken quite possibly via the graveyard, as many former leadership allies have and so fortuitously will Washington - London Elite Planners be again relieved of close scrutiny of this campaign and war crime as they were with their twenty year Afghan Campaign and war crime courtesy of the formal launch of The Ukraine Proxy War, that itself now relieved of close scrutiny courtesy of some astonishingly convenient events in the east of West Asia that provide justification for The United States and Good Allies to position two Carrier Strike Groups in the region plus other military assets, directed at Iran and Syria.

There comes a time for every Washington proxy when they are worth more to Washington dead than alive. The list is long. The beat goes on.

They (Washington - London) never forgave themselves for the loss of Iran (1979) for which Iran has been continually punished, there is their failure to take down President Assad of Syria, nor have they completed The Job in Lebanon, that Job being to relieve that State of its southern water resources for their Regional Proxy while taking back their control over all Middle Eastern oil. A far grander vision than any before and now with major adversaries closer at hand - China and Russia, as well as Iran, needless to say, given the track record of Washington - London's operations in Afghanistan, The Ukraine, Syria, The Yemen, Iraq and Libya, this will not be easy.

That the London Intelligence Agencies were moved to run out comparisons of President Zelenskyy with Winston Churchill is to be seen less in terms of the treatment of Western audiences as fools, with no implications that they are fools, but paramountly to be seen in the overarching ineptitude and intellectual vacuousness of said intelligence agencies in drawing such a comparison, as absurd as it was. It then follows from the inescapable reality that as President Zelenskyy has lost The War and The State and President Putin has not, any comparison with Churchill most appropriately fits better with President Vladimir Putin, save no preference directed towards anyone in particular but a logical consequence of the desperate measures to be seen in the public narratives of London intelligence agency commanders. It goes without saying that such a comparison (Zelenskyy) is an insult to the memory and achievements of Winston Churchill, but then, tearing down statues characterizes the intellectual vacuousness and fascist revisionist tendencies of the Western Liberal Educated Left. Churchill, like leading ethnographic-anthropological intellects of the day and of those who preceded him, was a Cultural Darwinist but this was not the basis for any comparison with the hapless Clown of Kyiv.

One factor with the position taken by The Global South, say The 90%, that being The World minus The Anglo-sphere towards the Ukrainian Proxy War, the Yemen Proxy War and the new add-ons, the wars in the Middle East, perhaps now the paramount factor is that a defeat in these spheres of conflict are defeats for Anglo-American Power Projection. The narrative term is salutary. The United States projects power; it does not project peace. So, the Washington - London - Brussels Masters of Present Realities face a convergence of crises that are now coalescing in a place called The Immediate Future, entirely of their exclusive making. They claim primacy over world events, a reality that was sustained for hundreds of years as those countries outside of The Anglo-sphere were militarily too weak to take them on as they, themselves, were taken down. For Russia and China, this went past due. For other smaller states and now client states of Russia and China, this will also apply as they build up their armed forces capabilities with superior Russian and Chinese systems and eject the Western Colonial Occupiers.

A comparison with the earlier administration of U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt and certain publication luminaries in their support, including massive financial support for Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, financial support exceeding that spent on The Manhattan Atomic Bomb Project, is not out of place. The Generalissimo, within Washington - London Elite Circles, came to be known as Generalissimo Cash My-check and the successor to President Roosevelt, the Democrat President Harry Truman described The Generalissimo, his wife and one sister-in-law and others in the so-called China Lobby as thieves who took U.S. money sent to them for the purpose of The Generalissimo's Army defeating both the Japanese invading forces and the emerging forces of MaoZeDong to recycle money back into property investments within The United States, an unsatisfactory state of affairs that Truman, not an Ivy League President, also referred to. What thereafter swept over the Administration was the question of Who Lost China, where answers were to lie elsewhere and not with them and would exclude both the strategic and tactical genius of MaoZeDong and his generals, the most successful revolutionaries of the twentieth century and the ineptitude of The Generalissimo. A similar paradigm has now been played out in Kyiv but the question of who lost The Ukraine will likely not be examined, at least within the realm of public thought, possibly an oxymoron as The Ukraine Question shall be consigned to the same place that the outcomes in Afghanistan, whatever they are, has been consigned. Finally, the Russian Armed Forces are gearing up to one and one half million and building up weapons stocks. Clearly they have in mind that Washington has something in mind for its NATO EU Proxy States to be used against Russia, as The Ukraine Proxy has died, while making the Russian Armed Forces better. There will be no frozen conflict. The Russian Government determines the outcomes, not Washington.

The West is never stoic in its claims if an attack is perpetrated against it.

"In the unhappy clash between races, inspired by fierce mutual enmity, the blood-stained savagery of a quick war of annihilation is more humane, less revolting, than the specious clemency of sloth which keeps the vanquished in a state of brute beasts" - Heinrich von Treitschke, German Historian, 1834-1896. American WW II General Curtis LeMay said similar things regarding the use of nuclear weapons over conventional munitions. Notably, The German State was the last European Power to undertake foreign imperial expansions and the first to be relieved of their possessions after 1945. Britain was not, nor France for a time and now still not entirely.

"I believe that over twenty thousand souls were lost. It is certain that no more terrible work and divine punishment has been seen since the destruction of Jerusalem. All of our soldiers became rich. God with us" -  The Catholic Field Marshall Graf Pappenheim (1594 - 1631) during the very destructive Thirty Years European War, on his sacking of the Protestant German City of Madgeburg, May,1631 population twenty five thousand and here clarifying his victory standard and justification for the deliberate murder of non-combatants including setting fire to homes to dislodge defenders which then lead to most homes burnt down. Pope Urban VIII wrote his congratulatory letter to Pappenheim's Commanding Officer, Johann Tserclaes, on the 18th June to express his heartfelt feelings - "You have washed your victorious hands in the blood of sinners" and so an endorsement of Collective Punishment (while ignoring the financial interests of the soldiers), now a war crime yet not infrequently spoken to by certain of the political leaderships. For fourteen days, the charred corpses of Madgeburg were disposed of in the river to prevent the spread of diseases. The term "Magdeburg quarter" was one of several phrases that came into the popular discourse, to be used by Protestants Armies when executing defeated Roman Catholics as they begged for mercy.

No war, whether predominately religious or for territorial ambitions, whether small or large, proceeds from no reason and comes with precursor events, few or many and each has some elements deemed unique, but only some. Yet, of certain classes of ideologues, their interest is in promoting a view that certain such events are unique and draw no parallels with past events. Suffice to say, they are judges in their own cause. Suffice to say, there is no first anything.

Of this war, the war on Madgeburg, far worse was being perpetrated in The Far Abroad.

Spain.

In what would lead to The Spanish Empire and bring forth a Spanish Golden Age, the Spanish Queen Isabella the Catholic authorized the 1478 expeditionary fleet of Spanish Conquistadors with their weapons and horses to Gran Canaria, some nine hundred miles by sea from Spain with the intent purpose to remove the native population and take possession of the island lands. The lowlands were easily captured by the Spanish Militia, the mountainous regions took longer as the natives retreated into the highlands to wage guerrilla warfare on the Spaniards. Matters were finally settled by 1496, thereafter the forests were cleared, the flora and fauna Europeanized and what few of the native population remained lost their land and their means for survival. Introduced diseases took a fair toll as did sexually transmissible infections. It is estimated that the native population of Gran Canaria was taken down from eighty thousand to a few thousand, then most pure bloods vanished. Other actions by the Queen and King of Spain, when they were not otherwise to be found in church, included authorizing Christopher Columbus' expedition to The Americas and near by islands (discussed below) that also led to the complete extinction of the native population of Cuba, either hacked by the finest of Toledo steel swords of the Conquistadors or by introduced diseases and the royal decree to expel all Jews from Spain, withstanding those who converted.

Cardinal Francisco Jiménez de Cisneros, the Queen's confessor and a Grand Inquisitor, praised The Queen for "her purity of heart, her big heart and the grandness of her soul". Fernández de Oviedo y Valdés, a Columbus contemporary, described The Queen thus - "To see her speak was divine".

The many native populations which the Spanish Conquistadors exterminated never had the opportunity to experience this manifestly divine quality of The Spanish Queen. Then, as now, court approved historians and stenographers for The State (modern day Mainstream Media journalists) permeated the Body Politic as a suppurating infection.

That native Indians died out with alacrity in the face of the numerous Spanish invasions was understood within the Anglo-sphere to be due to the bloodthirsty cruelty of the Spanish occupiers, well known as it became, yet when similar and larger outcomes were observed as a result of Anglo-Saxon intervention in The Americas, other self-serving explanations became necessary. Daniel Denton (1626 – 1703) American colonist provided the necessary anodyne explanation that "Where the English come to settle, a Divine Hand makes way for them by removing or cutting off the Indians". Yet, religious explanations proved insufficient and internally contradictory for those with a close acquaintance with biblical prose (certain of). Biological explanations came to replace the religious. All of the exterminated were people of colour and so it was a self-evident truth, an axiom really, that racially based Natural Law was in operation, thus the genocide of the non-European was a stage in the natural evolution of the world. At this point, the Science of Genetics was yet to emerge as it was variously believed then that there were between three and five human species on the planet, rather than one, a now settled matter further discussed below.

It was in 1492 that Christopher Columbus and his fleet arrived in The Americas. The extent of their impact upon the native populations was considered to be without an equivalent in world history for it is estimated that the native populations of The Americas was somewhere equivalent to that of Europe, say, seventy million people. Over the next three hundred years, the population of Europe grew by about four times; the native populations of The Americas dropped by over ninety percent. This was no accident and in North America, an outcome of state and federal government policies and programs for internal decolonization. Underpinning this program was the recognition that, unlike African slaves, the native Indian population did not make for quality plantation workers and were far too numerous for the far fewer European settlers to exploit. The colonial-settler population was primed to remove the Indians.

The American Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776 leads in with "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness". The document went through several drafts, being written as it was by wealthy, educated, landed slave owners who broke treaties and stole Indian land. The document lists various grievances against the King of England, George III, including his incitement of " . . . the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions", meaning against the American Revolutionaries. King George III called the American Revolutionaries, including Samuel Adams, terrorists. Adolph Hitler was familiar with the planned genocide of the North American Indians.

The Reconcentración Strategy - Cuba.

The earliest modern method in the detainment of large numbers of civilians without trial was effectuated by the use of barbed wire, first patented in The United States in 1867 and machine weapons, then electrified barbed wire.

Battles had raged for decades over Cuba’s push for independence from Spain but the Spanish Governor-General Arsenio Martínez Campos was unable to implement scorched earth policies and concentration camps, the Reconcentración Strategy, that he himself recognized as necessary to put down the Cuban insurgencies. Martínez Campos was recalled to Spain in favour of General Valeriano Weyler who had no difficulty with implementing the scorched earth policy and so earned the name “the Butcher". The results would be obvious. As The New York Times wrote, 1896 - “If he cannot make successful war upon the insurgents, he can make war upon the unarmed population of Cuba". Civilians were forced, under threat of death, to relocate to Concentration Camps, to remove popular support including supplies and safe houses for the Cuban insurgents. Within a year tens of thousands of reconcentrados were dead or dying while lionized as martyrs in the American press. No mass executions were necessary; horrific living conditions and lack of food led to the deaths of some one hundred and fifty thousand.

By means of the new technologies of barbed wire and machine weapons that the Spanish used in Cuba, a small guard force could impose mass detentions. A new institution of mass control was created and the term “Concentration Camp” gradually entered into common use.

The U.S. press reported on Spain’s well established brutality and Americans shipped produce to relieve the starving Cubans. With the sinking of the USS Maine in Havana Harbour, February 1898, the United States was primed for war on Spain. In a call to arms, President William McKinley said of the Spanish Strategy of Reconcentración - “It was not civilized warfare. It was extermination. The only peace it could beget was that of the wilderness and the grave". Subsequent political leaders demonstrate a capacity for greater forgiveness.

The United States went on to defeat Spain in the Spanish - American War and relieve Spain of all its colonies, many of which they retain.

Argentina.

It was in 1832 that the Argentine Government had given authorization to exterminate the native Indians who occupied the fertile lowlands of The Pampas. Charles Darwin himself witnessed what was to be done and what was to be done was assigned to the brutal and tyrannical Brigadier General Juan Manuel José Domingo Ortiz de Rosas and his soldiers, the extermination campaign to be financed by a bond loan and when the lowlands were cleared of all native Indians, it was shared out to the bondholders, each bond having the right to twenty-five hundred hectares (twenty-five square kilometers). Rather than conforming in appearance to some nobler race, Darwin noted of the soldiers that he had never seen a more loathsome army of bandits, his impressions perhaps influenced by their appearance when they returned home soaked in blood, filth and vomit, along with damage to themselves as the native Indians fought back with their teeth or with whatever primitive weapons they had. The work was up close and personal. Darwin interviewed one of the Spanish commanders on the question that all women who appear above twenty years old are massacred in cold blood. He answered - "Why, what can be done? They breed so".

Britain.

In June 1897, the year that the concept of Lebensraum came to prominence within German intellectual discourse (examined below), Britain's global expansion was at its supreme height, it was the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria and Britain's global successes were to be celebrated with an unmatched arrogance as representatives of all territories subjugated by British guns, a quarter of the earth, came to London to pay tribute to Queen Victoria on her sixtieth anniversary on the British throne. Numerous clergy of the British churches took front and center positions for the royal procession. Britain had surpassed The Europeans and the British Navy had supremacy over the oceans. All this due to the grace and favour of Almighty God.

Britain had succeeded most in the suppression of the savages.

The British anatomist Robert Knox came in support of the widely held view in Britain that for Britain, expansion was a self-evident right and that the expansive inclinations of France, Germany and Russia were reprehensible and aggressive acts, the height of immorality, as the British Media wrote it. Dr. Knox went to to conclude that Might Is Right. He wrote, in The Races of Mankind, 1850, that " . . . the Celtic Race (Indo-Europeans) is preparing to seize Northern Africa by the same right as we seized Hindūstān (India), that is, might, physical force, the only real right is physical force". He helpfully explicated the bedrock principle - " . . . laws are made to bind the weak, to be broken by the strong". The same reasoning would be brought to the German State as the justifier for German expansion eastwards through Europe and beyond.

On the concept of Manifest Destiny, the English - American settler Daniel Denton, after locating to Massachusetts in the 1640's, appears to be the earliest to use the self-justifying expression and explained it thus - "Where the English come to settle, a Divine Hand makes way for them by removing or cutting off the Indians, either by Wars one with the other, or by some raging mortal disease", as he wrote it in 1670.

Sir Charles Lyell, a British geologist, an influencer of Charles Darwin and of Denton, did not see fit to contain himself to the principles of geology and so wrote in his Principles of Geology (1830), under the Extirpation of Species by Man, his thesis on the right to exterminate others as entirely in accordance with Natural Law, that being that one should not be taken by any sense of guilt as when we conquer the earth and defend our occupations by force of arms and why should we not, being as we are, The Lords of Creation?

The elimination of the Tasmanian Aborigines is cited as one of the most well known and effective campaigns to clear the lands for commerce. With British colonization commencing in 1803, the kangaroos were systematically exterminated and sheep brought in to graze. The colonial settler population was doubling every fifth year and the local press demanded more vehemently that the natives must be moved off. If not, they should be "hunted down like wild beasts and destroyed". They were. In 1830 and at some expense to The Government, five thousand soldiers were mobilized to drive all Tasmanian natives onto a small headland in the south east. This they did, only then to find that the native population was no more than a few hundred, down from some tens of thousands. The distinguished Australian Historian Geoffrey Blainey wrote that by 1830 - "Disease had killed most of them but warfare and private violence had also been devastating". This is true but what is also true is that if disease had not been so effective, the settler colonialists would have resorted to other necessary means, as described above, to kill them off. One way or the other, they were to die and by whatever means necessary and by whatever self-serving justification made readily available by the leading intellects within the Ethno-Geographic Societies.

The Scottish writer and surgeon John Howison, after his tour of the various colonies wrote (1834) - " . . . America has already nearly been depopulated of its aborigines by the introduction of the Blessings of Civilization. The West Indian archipelago, from the same cause, no longer contains a single family of its primitive inhabitants. South Africa will soon be in a similar condition and the islanders of the South Pacific are rapidly diminishing in numbers from the ravages of European diseases and the despotism of self-interested and fanatical missionaries". He did express some concern that this should stop, reflecting attitudes within Christianity and Enlightenment principles of equality. Yet, with European expansion proceeding further into the eighteen hundreds, a different attitude began to solidify. Genocide was to be regarded as the inevitable outcome of progress. Genocide became to be regarded as necessary to progress as, in the limit, there is no land where there are not people. What is not recognized, as Thomas Malthus did, that population pressures within the small land mass of Europe and the smaller land mass of Britain necessitated taking land elsewhere.

The English doctor and ethnologist James Prichard held it self-evident that the savage races could not be saved and " . . . the white is destined to extirpate the savage". In his lecture "On the Extinction of Human Races" (1838), the best that one could do was to collect as much as could be known of their physical and moral characteristics. For the exterminating British and European Interventionists, extermination was inevitable and so the most exquisite form of self-forgiveness.

Again, the Scottish anatomist and now ethnologist, Dr. Robert Knox, brought scientific certainly to these difficult matters with his book The Races of Man (1850) wherein he made known these important revelations - " . . . since the beginning of history, the dark races have been slaves to those lighter skinned. What is this due to? . . . there must be a physical and consequently, a psychological inferiority in the dark races generally". Dr. Knox continues. "Can the dark races become civilized? I should say not. Their future history, then, must resemble the past. The Saxon Race will never tolerate them, never amalgamate, never be at peace . . . the bloodthirstiest of Napoleon's campaigns is not equal to that now waging between our descendants in America and the dark races; it is a war of extermination".

It is presumed that the native Americans were on their way to extinction when the first Europeans arrived, an entirely unsupported claim where Dr. Knox then leads in to assert that " . . . the fate of all these nations must be the same; it results from the nature of their populations and nothing can arrest it". Dr. Knox then enumerates the destruction of native populations in South Africa, China, Mongolia and Tasmania. Knox wrote to the question of The Negro's Place in Nature and emphasized their close association with apes. After the Jamaica Slave Revolt (1831), brutally suppressed by English Forces, Robert Knox's Anthropology Society held a public meeting where one of the officers spoke to the philanthropic mission to kill natives as there was "mercy in a massacre". That thinking was consistent with the view that the terminally vanishing inferior races should be relieved of their suffering on earth if their extinction, inevitable as it was ordained, was brought forward.

Scientific Racism was now the central organizing principle within British Imperial Ideology.

The Scottish historian and explorer William Reade undertook travels to Africa for the Royal Geographical Society and returned to write his book Savage Africa (1864) along with his grand prediction on the future of the continent - Africa shall be shared between England and France, the Africans shall dig ditches and water the deserts, it shall be hard work and the Africans will render themselves extinct, an outcome he reassuringly wrote " . . . that must be seen with composure, the Beneficent Law of Nature, that the weak must be devoured by the strong".

From the Journal of the Anthropological Society of London (1864) and in his address on The Extinction of Races, Richard Lee reminded his audience that the civilized people of the world know better how to use the land that for so long has been the black man's undisturbed home. A tide of European Civilization is rising over the earth and through the moral and intellectual superiority of the Anglo-Saxon race, the earlier inhabitants are swept away. Light consumes darkness, said Richard Lee. Extermination was just another name for Natural Selection, so asserted English naturalist Alfred Wallace in a subsequent address. According to Wallace, the European's superior physical, moral and intellectual qualities were to mean that he reproduces himself at the expense of the savage. This must be true since European plants and animals adapted well to the climate and soil of America and Australia but the reverse was less true, thus confirming the belief in the biological superiority of all things European and the inevitable decline of the lower races, plant life not overlooked.

Herbert Spencer, an English polymath and contemporary of Charles Darwin coined the phrase "survival of the fittest" (1864), an expression Darwin never wrote and to be taken in the context of the Scientific Racism that Spencer adhered to, whereof he wrote - " . . . that Imperialism had served Civilization by clearing the inferior races off the earth", Scientific Racism here meaning that there are several human races or biologically distinct classes of humans, not all the same nor equal and thus a justification for Racism - some are inferior, some are superior. Classes (human taxa) varied from three to five and, as one may expect, given the progenitors of these grand theories, Americans and Europeans where at the top and the rest were not. Whereas Genetics has invalidated all these theories, contemporary political leaders are known to resort to these false paradigms of the human and of the sub-human, the civilized garden and the jungle (discussed below).

Benjamin Kidd, an Irish sociologist, reinforced the contemporary dogma of Scientific Racism and Cultural Darwinism by proclaiming in his highly successful book Social Evolution (1894) that the Anglo-Saxon has exterminated the less developed peoples even more effectively than other races have. He notes that driven by the inbuilt forces of his own civilization, the Anglo-Saxon goes to foreign countries to develop its natural resources and the consequences seem to be inescapable. For the race that wishes to keep its place in the competition, the eradication of other races is one of the stern imperative conditions.

Alexander Tille, a German philosopher who held an academic post at the University of Glasgow (1890-1900), familiarized himself with British Imperial Ideology and Germanized it by linking Charles Darwin and Herbert Spencer into a new Evolutionary Ethic. Inverting International Law, he wrote that "All historical rights are invalid against the rights of the stronger and it is . . . the right of the stronger race to annihilate the lower". He clarified this ethic in terms that left no doubt whatsoever for " . . . when that race does not maintain its ability to resist, then it has no right to exist, for anyone who cannot maintain himself must be content to go under" - Volksdienst (Service To The People), 1893. This mode of thought was not unexceptional amongst The Elites and what must not be missed here in these Iron Laws is in the generality of the prose such that they could be applied to both the primitive peoples on other continents but also to the less economically successful peoples of Europe and Britain, which they were (but not examined here). On appearances, even now, this mode of thought is not unexceptional amongst The Elites. In 1894 the Pan-German League paper Alldeutsche Blatter (All-German Papers) published that the life of the German Race could be assured through living space, stretching from the Baltic to the Bosporus and that one should not be hindered because the inferior Czechs, Slovenes and Slovaks would lose their existence, worthless as they were to civilization and only " . . . people of higher culture . . . " had any entitlement to a nationality of their own. In view of contemporary events, such Iron Laws still prevail - in parts.

Of Ways and Means . . . By The Grace of Almighty God.

New generations of weapons were constantly developing and the Mathematical Physics of Ballistics and Instrumentation, sufficiently advanced by the early eighteen-hundreds, led to a dramatic improvement in artillery kill ratios on battlefields. New generations of British, American, Russian and European weapons came into operation, based upon improvements in manufacturing and smokeless powder so that repair parts would be interchangeable, along with guns with repeater mechanisms that didn’t jam, improved ammunition that was less affected by damp and dramatic improvements with rifle accuracy due to smaller bore barrels and rifling. The decisive weapon in Imperial Campaigns was the Maxim Machine Gun that could fire at a rate of some six hundred heavier caliber rounds per minute, belt fed and was used in numerous campaigns in Africa, Asia and elsewhere, far from Britain and in defense of The Empire. The invention of the Bessemer in Britain, mid-eighteen hundreds, enabled the cheap mass production of steel, so ensuring the mass production of armaments at scale. This made it impossible in the small workshops of Africa and Asia for local smiths to copy these weapons as they had no industrially manufactured steel, nor the advanced means to machine steel. These developments in Weapons Science were decisive in the so-called colonial campaigns, the Scramble for Africa, nominally put at 1884 and which placed the majority of Africa under the control of Britain, Belgian, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Spain. But other self-exonerating reasons to justify Anglo-European Imperialism in Africa were advanced with earnest sincerity.

From Churchill's The River War, 1899 and his part in the British Campaign to retake The Soudan (1898), commanded by Field Marshal H. H. Kitchener and making use of field guns, now confidently proven Maxim Machine Guns and Nordenfelt Guns, much improved rifles and new cartridges such as the Dum Dum Bullet (an expanding bullet concluded to be highly effective after the battle), Churchill wrote that it was a good moment to live. "Of course we should win. Of course we should mow them down". Win they did for at Omdurman, the strongest African resistance was destroyed. Churchill wrote - "The white flags were nearly over the crest, In another minute they would be become visible to the batteries. Did they realize what would come to meet them? They were in a dense mass 2,800 yards from the 32nd Field Battery and the gunboats. The ranges were known. It was a matter of machinery . . . The white flags toppled in all directions. Yet they rose again immediately, as other men pressed forward to die for the Mahdi's sacred cause in defense of the True Prophet of the Only God. It was a terrible sight, for as yet they had not hurt us at all and it seemed an unfair advantage to strike thus cruelly when they could not reply".

It was a matter of machinery. The machine weapons themselves; the highly trained soldiers functioning as a machine. Churchill further wrote . . .

"The infantrymen fired steadily and stolidly, without hurry or excitement, for the enemy was far away . . . the soldiers were interested in the work and took great pains . . . the rifles grew hot, so hot they had to be exchanged for those of the reserve companies. The Maxim Guns exhausted all the water in their jackets". Churchill understood that if the attackers were not stopped, in close in engagements they would prevail. The Mahdi's Army made one fatal underestimation - the effectiveness of modern weapons. Churchill wrote - "Thus ended the Battle of Omdurman - the most signal triumph ever gained by the arms of science over barbarians. Within the space of five hours, the strongest and best armed savage army yet arrayed against a modern European Power had been destroyed . . . with hardly any difficulty, comparatively small risk and insignificant loss to the victors".

Did the Mahdi really make a fatal underestimation - the effectiveness of modern machine weapons? How could they know? A large infrastructure of modern education and research undergirds modern weapons. Of that they had nothing.

Great Britain remained the undisputed superpower.

Churchill averred to a traditional concept of honour and fair play and an admiration for pointless bravery, yet to be superseded by that modern understanding that technical superiority provides the natural right to annihilate an enemy, so defined, even when that enemy is defenseless. This modern understanding persists into the modern era. Whether one might ascribe to The Modern Era being a Civilized Era is another matter. As one Arab colleague expressed it, an I.T. degree’d I.T. Manager having grown up in the Middle East and having witnessed, as a child, murder and mayhem at the hands of foreign armies - "Humans are not civilized; humans are just modernized". This Arab colleague has darker skin. He speaks perfect English.

Is he an irredeemable savage? Are people really born with a losing hand?

Some fifty thousand of the Mahdist Army came up against Kitchener's eight thousand British regulars and some seventeen thousand Sudanese and Egyptian soldiers who dispatched the Mahdist Army with field artillery, machine guns and volley fire. Depicted in the London press as a closely fought hand to hand battle, the Mahdist Army rarely got close. Of the thirteen thousand wounded Mahdists, Kitchener had them executed and Churchill came to modify his otherwise critical view of Kitchener's actions, mindful of popular opinion in Britain for Kitchener and the subsequent effect on his own political career. Churchill was to later observe . . .

"Science unfolded her treasures and her secrets to the desperate demands of men and placed in their hands agencies and apparatus almost decisive in their character" - Winston Churchill, The Gathering Storm: The Second World War.

Elsewhere . . .

"When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite".

Five years earlier, the first use and proof of the devastating effectiveness of Maxims came with The Battle of the Shangani,1893 during the First Matabele War, now Zimbabwe. A private army of the British South Africa Company, a Cecil Rhodes operation to extract African mineral wealth, came under attack from Ndebele Kingdom warriors, BSAC soldiers defended and easily prevailed with their five Maxims and other guns. From the record of those present, the warriors were mowed down like grass, suffering many fatalities, the defeated Ndebele leader committing suicide. Cecil Rhodes introduced the term Cape to Cairo in his expansive plans to take African territory for resource extraction. Visions of Anglo-Saxon greatness also defined Rhode's world view, a view that provided the driving force of all imperialists.

Anglo-Boer War Concentration Camps.

The British War with the ethnically Dutch Boers was fought to gain control of gold fields for British interests over those of the resident Boers. Here, Civilization is pitched against Barbarism with the sweeping white figure of Britannia brandishing the flag of Civilization; she leads white British soldiers and settler colonialists into the war against the native forces of Barbarism, a sacred cause, their sacred cause. The caption - From the Cape to Cairo, though the process be costly, the road to progress must be cut. Violence in the name of Peace and Civilization. It was an illustrative technique to overwrite clothing and flags with stereotypical, nationalistic messaging (as Joe Biden would wear a tie of Ukrainian flag colours, Zelenskyy dark green although he has never seen a battle, nor Biden). In the larger scheme of things, Cape to Cairo was to extend Britain's hegemony over Africa. The Boer War became very costly for Britain. Sixteen million pounds annually.

An Anglo-Boer Tent City for Boer families as a Concentration Camp, in support of a Scorched Earth Policy.

In the Anglo-Boer War in South Africa, 1899 - 1902, firstly Field Marshal F. S. Roberts and then Field Marshall H. H. Kitchener applied a Scorched Earth Policy to lift their failing campaign against the Boer guerillas by clearing vast areas of land, destroying farms and livestock to deprive the Boers of food and shelter and by moving the civilian women and children into over one hundred concentration camps, to bring pressure from the treatment of their families down on the Boer guerillas. An estimated quarter of a million of the civilian population was so located with an estimated forty-eight thousand dying from overcrowding, malnutrition and disease. There was also a special policy of removing Africans off the land to remove a source of supplies for the Boer guerillas as well as enabling the British to use black men as labourers in their gold mines. British apologists draw a distinction between their Concentration Camps and those of the yet to merge Third Reich. By the time the Nazi German State came into formation, there was in place a precedent ideological framework and methods to dispose of large numbers of people, developed by the British and the Spanish, along with the German Armed Forces' own prior experiences in administering The Armenian Genocide (examined below). The conduct of the British Commanders remains consistent with all imperial commanders and their political leaderships that the populations shall be punished and, as necessary, perish.

"To plunder, butcher, steal, these things they misname empire: they make a desolation and they call it peace" - Gaius Tacitus, Roman Historian, (56 - 117).

French illustrator Jean Veber depicted British Army troops implementing their Scorched Earth Policy by rounding up South African Boer civilian women and children to be sent to Tent Cities. The intent of this was to undermine British Government official propaganda praising the humanitarian conduct of the armed forces.

In August, 1941, U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill signed The Atlantic Charter wherein neither country, post WWII, would pursue territorial gains, change borders, would assent to self-determination, allow restoration of self-government to those deprived of it, enable a reduction of trade restrictions and renounce the use of force unless it was to disarm aggressor states. Churchill could hardly be serious when he assented to the right to self-determination for, at that time, Britain's imperial possessions held hundreds of millions of Africans and Asians in colonial bondage, even as London Luminaries claimed that their African interventions were to halt slavery. Nazi Germany was put away in 1945 but Britain continued with its brutal campaigns in Africa and Asia into the nineteen-seventies.

A signal British propaganda piece wherein the cultural arts are played to, along with otherwise vacuous public ceremonies that serve to obscure what lies beneath.

Germany.

It is the middle of the eighteen hundreds and the German State, unlike Britain, France and other European States, had not undertaken imperial expansion, nor taken distant territories and thus had not exterminated any native populations. Not yet. By this time, the leading lights of the British and European Geographical - Anthropological Societies had several well developed theses to explain and justify the right of the higher race to annihilate the lower race, as some precisely wrote it. More were to come. Yet internal contradictions could not forever be ignored.

German anthropologists and geographers were able to take a more critical view, for a time and the German anthropologist Georg Gerland - On The Extinction of Primitive Peoples, 1868 - after considering many factors, concluded that the decisive determining factors included the diseases of the whites, more so their hostile behaviours in the form of cultural violence, that being the imposition of rapid, artificial changes however seemingly innocuous that were destructive. The privatization of land, a wholly foreign concept to hunter gatherers where land was a public asset but where the invaders had no interest in recognizing a practice that far preceded the existence of Western Civilization, disturbed the basis of their existence and further he observed that Europeans destroy out of rapacity and come with no understanding of the basis for the natives' way of life. Physical force is the clearest, most tangible factor in their extermination and the bloodthirstiness of the whites is exercised by an intellectually highly developed people. He further wrote that " . . . the cruelties have been carried out fairly uniformly by a whole population in the colonies or have been approved by them . . . even today violence is not always condemned". Georg Gerland's overarching view was that it is no Law of Nature that primitive people must die out and if their natural rights are respected, they will live on. Of the phrase - "even today violence is not always condemned", that was then. Of that phrase, this is now.

Berlin Conference & The Scramble For Africa

Count Otto von Bismarck unified the the German State, 1871 and thus was in a position to undertake state driven foreign adventures, furnishing to the desires of the industrial classes and so led to the convening of The Berlin Conference, intended to set in place agreements between the seven continental powers for their orderly possession of the African continent and avoid conflict between themselves. Bismarck resisted pressure to construct a colonial empire until the Scramble for Africa, so-called, in 1884. Claiming much of the remaining uncolonized areas of Africa, Germany built the third-largest colonial empire at the time, after the British and French. German colonial authorities and European settlers envisioned a predominately white new African Germany, wherein the native populations would be put onto reservations and their land distributed among settlers and companies. Settler Colonists were encouraged to seize land and cattle from the native people and to subjugate them as slave labourers, which they did. The result . . .

Turkish - Armenian Genocide.

From around 1915 to 1923, the Ottoman and Turkish Governments systematically exterminated from one half to one and one half million Armenians, displacing hundreds of thousands as homeless and stateless and in totality eliminating some two million or so Armenians present within the Ottoman Empire as at 1915. Stripped of their possessions, they were subject to Death Marches into the Syrian Desert, south east of Turkey, to die without the necessities of life, so deliberately deprived. Others were killed in mass burnings, drownings and from gas weapons on their villages. Some were transported via railway to twenty or so concentration camps along the lines in the Turkish Empire's eastern region, where they were starved via food blockades, crop destruction, also poisoned or otherwise dispatched.

German Armed Forces Officers, being highly experienced in modern warfare principles, staffed the most senior positions of the Turkish Armed Forces with up to twenty thousand German officers and soldiers operating within the Turkish Armed Forces, including staffing the Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Supreme Army Command by a most senior German officer. German armaments factories supplied weapons including rifles, hand guns and field mortars. German Commanders of Turkish Forces took a direct hand in directing campaigns against the Armenian population. It remains a matter of some dispute within the Historiography as to the degree to which German Officers were the progenitors of the Extermination Campaign or whether this was a purely Turkish Government conception. The facts on the ground became better known and former British Prime Minister A. J. Balfour, then Foreign Secretary, expressed the practical reality that German Officers were in command of the Armenian Genocide, averring to German involvement and that they could put a stop to this genocide campaign.

General Otto von Lossow, who was not ultimately in charge, went on to write - "On the basis of all the reports and news coming to me here in Tiflis (now Tibilisi, Georgia), there hardly can be any doubt that the Turks systematically are aiming at the extermination of the few hundred thousand Armenians whom they left alive until now”. United States ambassador Henry Morgenthau, Sr. made it clear that Germany had a principle role in the Extermination Campaign.

After the First World War, German Commanders, armed forces personnel and diplomatic staff returned with their skills to Germany, some became members of the Nazi Party and some personally advised the Nazi Leadership.

"I am firmly convinced that this is the greatest crime of the ages" - Henry Morgenthau, Sr., US Ambassador to the Ottoman Empire, WW I.

The German ethnographer Friedrich Ratzel published his Anthropogeographie, 1891, wherein he examined the decline of peoples of inferior cultures at contact with culture. Whereas he recognized that low-standing peoples die out in contact with highly cultivated people, such as the vast majority of Australians, Polynesians, Northern Asians, North Americans, Africans and South Americans, he noted that "The theory that this dying out is predestined by the inner weakness of the individual race is faulty". The Europeans cause the destructiveness and the superior race is a minority and so must weaken the natives to obtain domination. Thus the natives are killed, impoverished and otherwise driven off to possess their land. As German industrial power advanced and Germany adopted colonial policies, his views swung around to a justification for German Imperial Expansion and so, on the question of whether the deplorable process, destruction of native communities became a demonic necessity, violence and land theft are the main reasons for the decline of native people, yet the logic that this is precisely why they die out is far too simple and contact with Europeans hastens an extinction already underway, so articulating a capital narrative maneuver. By the end of the eighteen hundreds, the former, more dispassionate, objective and intellectually honest view no longer prevailed in Germany as it did not elsewhere in The West. Friedrich Ratzel was the first to introduce the term Lebensraum.

Wilhelm II, Emperor of Germany (1888-1918) is portrayed as a pompous warlord astride a colossal cannon. The imagery commingles with the clergy to emphasize the divine mission as Religion was instrumental in characterizing the natives as heathens, so deserving of bodily harm and cultural ruin. The German Kaiser is characterized as an anointed leader, his angel wings made of swords and is astride a cannon dragged forward by clerics and missionaries towards the foreign land, as The Kaiser points the way. The barely discernible distant natives retreat.

The Jewish Problem.

Friedrich Ratzel could not ignore the position of Jewish people within German society and of whom could not be regarded as " . . . a people of inferior culture". In his subsequent book, Political Geography, 1897, Ratzel derived the means to condemn Jewish people to annihilation by pairing them with gypsies and " . . . the stunted people in the African interior . . . " and " . . . innumerable similar existences . . . " into an entire class of " . . . scattered people with no land". Recognition was given to the all too apparent fact that land with no peoples no longer existed, an observation inferred by Thomas Malthus over one hundred years prior when writing on Overpopulation. Consistent with Ratzel's Principle of Lebensraum, a growing people need more land and must conquer land " . . . which through killing and displacement of the inhabitants is turned into uninhabited land ... Colonization has long since become displacement".

As of then, Europe and Britain were the most populated regions, geographically small and regions where the populations were growing fastest. Imperial Expansion and colonies were a necessity for Britain and Europe, as of then, as of now. This now includes The United States and allies and their long-in-the-planning collective blunder to take down the Russian State for resource theft, examined above and in prior essays. It should be apparent that colonial expansion could not only occur on the far abroad. Colonizing border states was a reality and occupations close at hand could be more easily defended and assimilated. Could be. When the thirty-five year old Adolph Hitler was sentenced to Landsberg Prison in 1924, where he wrote Mein Kampf, he read Friedrich Ratzel. He knew of the organized genocide of the North American Indians.

Ideology of Lebensraum.

Friedrich Ratzel formalized the principle of Lebensraum wherein he linked a Biological Theory of Life with the geographical Concept of Space. As he wrote in Der Lebensraum, 1901, life has reached the limits of space and so is fighting with life for space, a struggle for existence is a struggle for space. Those who came first took the best; those who came later get the worst and for Germany, where the world's Colonial Powers had already divided up much for themselves, Germany was to be content with the least desirable territories. Ratzel was familiar with the destruction of the North American Indians and the confiscation of their lands - " . . . an annihilating struggle, the prize for which was the land, the space", sufficiently large to earn a livelihood and so to capture adequate Lebensraum, the inhabitants must be displaced and being weakened and dying out completely, made necessary by a shortage of living space. Knowledgeable of Colonial History, he wrote - "The History of primitive peoples dying out on the appearance of a people of higher culture provides many instances of this". The question of Anglo-European overpopulation remained unaddressed. Friedrich Ratzel's ideology was entirely flawed and he was unable to give an explanation as to why species naturally went extinct, withstanding major planetary impact events or volcanic activity, extinction proceeds in Evolutionary Time, read many tens of thousands of years, microbes excepting.

Ratzel's theories summarized well and gave justification to the expansion of the European, British, French and Russian Empires, territorial expansion was necessary and favoured the conquerors, not least in technologically backward regions. Lebensraum become complemented by Industrial Power and made more productive use of space, which in turn led to the capture of foreign resources to power industrial expansion. France had built the second largest colonial empire. Germany must catch up. It was a matter of national prestige. The war of The Third Reich was a war to acquire more agricultural lands and an eastwards expansion extending to Russia to remove the sub-human Slavic inhabitants and others deemed so or otherwise make them slaves of their German masters.

Heinrich von Treitschke, the German political scientist, formulated his theory of colonial wars, Politik, 1898, thus - "International Law becomes phrases if its standards are also applied to barbaric people . . . villages must be burned and without setting examples of that kind, nothing can be achieved. If the German Reich in such cases applied International Law, it would not be humanity or justice but shameful weakness". As such, von Treitschke formalized the practices of the British and European States, now the standard for The Third Reich to direct against the inferior peoples to The East. There was a notable distinction. Of those non-Jewish, intellectuals and Communists were to be exterminated, the remainder to work as slave labour under German command. The distinguishing characteristic here - all Jewish people were to be exterminated without exception. The recurrent theme of all Western expansion elsewhere - genocide in the colonies.

Ideology of Uberzahligen Essern.

Lebensraum was not sufficient. With captured territory it was necessary to clear out the superfluous eaters - Uberzahligen Essern - and create a balance between the German population and the food supply and to make way for future German settlements. In the interests of semantic precision, a Concentration Camp is not a Death Camp, may be a Work Camp with factories and in any case will knowingly and deliberately lead to the deaths of some of those interred, with a way out for the administrators to excuse themselves in that there was no intention to eliminate anyone. A Death Camp is built to ensure that everyone dies.

It is 1904 and the German State can demonstrate that it too has absorbed the ideology of Racial Supremacy and the Operational Arts that the Americans, British and other Europeans had applied with success up to the nineteenth century - the Art and Science of exterminating people of an inferior culture. In the German colony of South-West Africa, now Namibia, German General Lothar von Trotha issued an extermination order for the none too rebellious, yet supposedly rebellious, Herero people, writing “Every Herero, with or without a gun, with or without cattle, will be shot". Most died without violence as the German Forces drove the natives into the desert and sealed it off, as did occur with the Armenians who were forced into the Syrian Desert. The German General Staff wrote - "The death rattles of the dying and their insane screams of fury resounded in the silence of infinity . . . the sentence had been carried out . . . the Hereros had ceased to be an independent people". Those few thousand who did survive were transported to German Concentration Camps for hard labour. The order was rescinded soon after, but the damage inflicted on indigenous peoples did not stop. The surviving Herero and later the Nama people were herded into concentration camps to face forced labor, inadequate rations and lethal diseases. Before the camps were fully disbanded in 1907, German policies led to the deaths of some seventy thousand Namibians, exterminating almost all the native Herero. The expression Concentration Camp, a creation of the Colonial Spaniards in Cuba, 1896, anglicized by the Americans and used by the British during the Anglo-Boer War entered into German political discourse.

It is all too apparent that the forgoing and entirely falsely justified paradigms behind foreign expansion arose in the most densely populated regions of the world and recently too, taken in Evolutionary Time. Instead of the human population being contained to some manageable number where the standard of living was lifted for all while making some more realistic claim on Sustainable Development, an entirely false paradigm in The Modern Era, the present mode of Western Capitalism arose from taking the path of converting The Eco-system into more humans and using The Eco-system to absorb human waste, accelerated by a mode of production that favours short product life, planned obsolescence and early product replacement, further advancing the destruction of The Eco-system, driven by the bedrock psychological human traits - Envy and Greed. Western Europe faces into a bleak future as European Colonial States incrementally lose influence, presence and loss of resources on the African continent but by signing on to Washington - London's Ukrainian Proxy War on Russia, they lose access to cheap Russian energy and other resources while simultaneously paying more for U.S. energy imports. Hence their urgent quest for other cheap energy sources within the North African Region, traded in U.S. dollars.

"Europe is a garden. We have built a garden. Everything works. It is the best combination of political freedom, economic prosperity and social cohesion that the humankind has been able to build - the three things together. The rest of the world is not exactly a garden. Most of the rest of the world is a jungle and the jungle could invade the garden" - Spanish EU Commissioner Dr. Josep Borrell, as reported, October, 2022. Dr. Borrell, as reported, also averred to a strong European response if Russia used nuclear weapons in The Ukraine, a most absurd remark as Russia has conclusively defeated NATO's Ukrainian Proxy Army (as predicted early on) and moves by the Russian Armed Forces to train for the use of their nuclear strike weapons was in response to threats from Washington, the only administration that has a track record in the dispatch of nuclear weapons on a defeated, non-nuclear state, to resort to tactical nuclear weapons to save their Proxy from certain defeat, now past due and removed from public gaze.

Capitalism's central organizing principle is based around growth and so not based upon a Steady State Economy, that would be less profitable and far less so to the proportionately few who have at their disposal the means of industrial production and agriculture. In the Pre-History, of those nutritionally deprived or otherwise under constant environmental stress to survive, as was the case of Hunter-Gatherer Societies, therein resulted a biological response to reproduce less and so they limited their growth and, as necessary, that would extend to Infanticide, a method to control local population growth up to the Era of Farming, The Neolithic Revolution so-called.

With the modern era of an industrialized food chain came the means to elevate the standard of living of the whole population, with fewer differences between them. Counter to greed and envy. Increased nutrition, medicine and safety altered the brain function to the built in drive to reproduction, thus the minimalist path has not been taken and taken with the building of dwellings at scale, the population has grown exponentially to that now surpassing a level that can no longer be sustained. The high dependency on mono-culture grasses such as wheat that themselves requires a narrow and well controlled Eco-system can be easily destabilized through rapid, albeit small, shifts in climate. The stability of modern industrial large scale agricultural economies is equivalent to the stability of a pyramid balanced on its tip = unstable equilibrium rather than a pyramid placed on its base = stable equilibrium. That the Political Classes never touch on Overpopulation, at least not publicly taken with a general prohibition on any rational discussion of Immigration, even as some countries actually do enforce limits on immigration while others do not, is an overt censorship.

The dynamic here, a sort of bullet in the head, is one of the stretched S-Shaped Curve that does not invert back on itself (monotonic), set against an Exponential Growth Curve, each overlayed on the other. Agricultural returns proceed along the line of the S-Shaped Curve, advancing slowly, then picking up as the ways and means improve to then necessarily taper off against an upper asymptote, the limits of growth ultimately limited by the size and usefulness of the land - Diminishing Returns by another name. Other lands must be sought because States, with few exceptions, will not apply programs to limit the growth of the exponentially reproducing population and a large or growing population is desirable in a State's strategic relations to other states and regions, especially where Force and Power Projection is required, as true now as previously examined above as it was true in The Ancient World where states went to war to take, among other things, land for grazing and crop production.

It is no longer sufficient in the advancing economies, so-called, to rely exclusively upon population growth to maintain profitability. Other means must be sought. Other means were sought. This was applied to the manufacture of products purposely designed around Planned Obsolescence, thus limiting their functional life and requiring replacement with new products sooner wherein resources are further extracted from The Eco-system beyond strict necessity and the sooner to be obsoleted products returned to The Eco-system as polluting waste. In truth little is recycled and the Energy Dynamics of Recycling are not favourable, a prime example of popular interest in the advancing economies, so-called, that now being Electric Car Battery Packs of which much talk attends the good intentions of all parties with no evidence of a net gain in what are complex, costly and polluting processes, both in their manufacture and their supposed end-of-life reprocessing. Most precisely, the total life cycle cost of any products does not accrue to the manufacturer or sales company, those costs in the economics literature being classed as Spillover Costs or by the more abstruse term Externalities and so the source of their financial net gain (profit) for if all the Spillover Costs were made to accrue to the cost object, the product, there would be no profit and few could afford it. In the limit, profit is taken at the expense of The Eco-system and so there can be no Sustainable Development, the most mythic of the propaganda myths of The Western Educated, Conceited Liberal Class.

Clearly, these two central organizing principles of Civilization - Overpopulation and Waste - is to the detriment of The Eco-system, it cannot continue and that which cannot continue will not continue. In the briefest of terms, of Civilization and The Political Economy of Genocide - first others are killed for their resources, then we kill off ourselves.

The Waste Makers (1960) from Vance Packard (1914-1996) who was an American English major and journalist when Journalism actually meant something and that something was critical analysis without fear nor favour. Packard connected the increasing and unnecessary consumption of disposable goods, purposely designed not to last and based around another central organizing principle of a controlled, manipulated consumer population programmed by Industrial Psychologists via advertising - his book on this The Hidden Persuaders (1957) - and propagated then but more so now via advertising, advertorials and editorializing media personality favourites that in turn would unavoidably degrade both the environment and the character of American society, now exported to other countries.

Curiously, Mr. Packard did attract the disfavour of The Advertising Industry, perhaps arising from his signal success in redefining Consumerism in the pejorative terms of mindless materialism and waste. Of The Systems Managers of Consumer Capitalism, you are worth no more to them than what you consume.

End Note 1: Social Stability

All multi-ethnic societies wherein there is not one dominant, significantly distinctive and larger ethnic group, with minority ethnic groups signing on to the dominant cultural norms and all with sufficient space and economic success, tend towards fracture. The birth rate of the original or minority inhabitants may outpace the generally better off dominant group, probably deliberately. It reaches the Tipping Point.

Diversity is not necessarily strength, as frequently promised by the class of The Misguided Liberal Left.

The methods available to be applied here could include the same as those used for hundreds of years in colonial occupations by The Brits. and The Cultivated Europeans.

End Note II - TaiWan Precursor

It is the end of 1948 and The Generalissimo's wife, MeiLingSong arrives in Washington with her demand for a further cash injection, this time three billion dollars. President Truman would not go for it. In Truman's own words . . .

Henry Luce, in his misguided obsession with The Generalissimo and two of the three Song sisters and his desire to see the Confucian Chinese population, some four hundred million, transformed into Americanized Christian consumers, also converted to the ideas of Christian sin, Christian guilt and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, then featured the converted-to-Christianity Generalissimo or his wife or both more than any other national figures. Delusions concerning foreign leaders and foreign countries remain a central fixation of The American Leadership Class. From declassified U.S. State Department diplomatic cables, this Man-&-Wife-Of-The-Year Man was known to have several young ladies maintained in apartments around town. It is to be doubted that the American readership was ever apprised of these disconcerting secret revelations.

It is evident that the lies told and the delusions held by The Roosevelt Administration in support of The Generalissimo are a template precursor to the lies promoted concerning the administration in Kyiv, the huge propaganda boost that the Western Mainstream Media foolishly gave to the novice Zelenskyy, the London Mainstream most notable here and now quietly trying to "walk it back" and no one in The U.S. Administration up to and including The President is able to call The Ukraine Proxy Campaign for what it is, also a clear case of the Mainstream Media having so conditioned the general public in falsehoods, overt and by exclusion of facts, what once upon a time were called lies, The Administration itself has become cornered on their lies, always told as they were on behalf of The Administration.

The Generalissimo, responsible for the deaths of millions due to his Scorched Earth Policies on the mainland, eventually lost China and fled to TaiWan, repeating his very repressive, dictatorial behaviour. The Ukraine is now lost and President Zelenskyy and Allies are responsible for the deaths of a million or so Ukrainian soldiers, some foreign state soldiers included. More errors will be made concerning TaiWan, possibly compounded by another front opening up on Russia using other European proxies. So much History. So little understood.
